Honey is generally packed in metal drums, while agave syrup and coconut oil, both of which are much more fluid than honey, are mainly filled into IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers), large plastic tanks in metal cages, and coconut butter is packed in special liners with outer cartons. Depending on the point of origin, transport is carried out either by ship or, where overland transport is more practical, by truck.
